Al B began his musical career as a member of the little known League Of Soul Gentlemen and continued in groups such as Funktastrophe, Soul Stroganoff UK and Funkyfication. He briefly performed with The Captains Of Soul Industry before joining Soul Attack! After a rather acrimonious split from the band The Funkin' 5, Al rejoined Doctor Love and the Soul Medics before moving on to form the highly influential Major Foghorn and the Soul Commandos. A less successful solo project was Soul On A Rope.
Al B's ambition is to take a midnight train to Georgia.
Al P is the Bilbo Baggins of Soul and can be easily spotted on stage - he is likely to be bellowing "COME ON!" rather loudly into a nearby microphone. Al P is always willing to get his fellow band members a drink - providing that the drinks are free at the bar! Al P is rarely able to stop for long after a gig - apparently he has to get home to "walk the dog"! A general note of caution: PLEASE DO NOT ENCOURAGE HIM!
Jason is the only member of the band to have a soul record named after him: "Brickhouse" by The Commodores. That's because he's built like one! Jason learnt his musical trade by playing in marching bands (drum corps) touring Europe and the USA. Known for his sense of discipline and moral rectitude, Jason coined the often-repeated catchphrase "It's a thin line between a#*!ing around and entertainment!"
